Fascinée par une pluralité de styles de danse, Audrey Gaussiran se forme auprès de maîtres au Brésil, à Cuba, à New York et en Espagne. Elle complète ses études au Conservatoire de danse de Montréal (2007), intégrant le ballet classique à sa formation éclectique.
Dès 2008, Audrey cumule les expériences comme interprète et répond à de nombreuses commandes chorégraphiques: compagnie DJD à Calgary (2012 à 2016), adaptation du Blank Placard Dance d’Anna Halprin (2014), création poésie/danse Par la fenêtre (2019), interprète et co-chorégraphe pour ZEUGMA DANSE (2017 à 2021).
À titre de chorégraphe indépendante, elle signe Le 2e sexe (2014), Corrida (2017) et réalise Portraits dansés (2015 à 2017), sept courts métrages qui lui valent une nomination pour l’Oeuvre de l’année du CALQ (2019). S’en suit la création de Fisheye (2020) et Ctrl:N (2019), deux pièces ancrées dans la démocratisation de la danse grâce au numérique.

Fascinated by a variety of dance styles, Audrey Gaussiran trained with masters in Brazil, Cuba, New York and Spain. She completed her studies at the Conservatoire de danse de Montréal (2007), integrating classical ballet into her eclectic training.
From 2008, Audrey accumulated experiences as a performer and responded to numerous choreographic commissions: DJD company in Calgary (2012 to 2016), adaptation of the Blank Placard Dance by Anna Halprin (2014), poetry / dance creation Par the window (2019) , performer and co-choreographer for ZEUGMA DANSE (2017 to 2021).
As an independent choreographer, she signed Le 2e sexe (2014), Corrida (2017) and directed Portraits dansés (2015 to 2017), seven short films that earned her a nomination for CALQ's Work of the Year (2019) . This is followed by the creation of Fisheye (2020) and Ctrl: N (2019), two pieces rooted in the democratization of dance thanks to digital technology.

Ctrl:N plonge le public dans une co-création interactive de flamenco contemporain.
Accompagnée d’un musicien et d’un artiste numérique, la danseuse engage un dialogue avec les spectateurs qui, armés de leurs téléphones, sont invités à partager leurs idées originales par l’envoi de textos directement projetés sur un écran. Ils influencent ainsi les mouvements et les thèmes de la création, passant du statut d’observateur à celui de co-créateur.
Ctrl:N, un spectacle innovant et accessible, propose une initiation aux codes de la création en danse. La volonté de démocratiser cet art et de soulever des questions d’actualité offre l’occasion de réfléchir aux correspondances anonymes dans les médias sociaux et à la surabondance d’information à l’ère numérique.
Entre improvisation, danse, art performance et médiation culturelle, Ctrl:N expose les artistes et l’auditoire à une expérience unique à chaque représentation.

Ctrl: N immerses the audience in an interactive co-creation of contemporary flamenco.
Accompanied by a musician and a digital artist, the dancer engages in a dialogue with the spectators who, armed with their phones, are invited to share their original ideas by sending text messages directly projected on a screen. They thus influence the movements and themes of creation, passing from the status of observer to that of co-creator.
Ctrl: N, an innovative and accessible show, offers an initiation into the codes of dance creation. The drive to democratize the art and raise topical issues provides an opportunity to reflect on anonymous social media correspondence and the information overload in the digital age.
Between improvisation, dance, performance art and cultural mediation, Ctrl: N exposes artists and the audience to a unique experience with each performance.

Dans cet atelier, les participants sont invités à prendre part de façon plus intime à la création de Ctrl:N. Discussions autour de l’œuvre, exploration du flamenco contemporain, improvisations guidées adaptées aux capacités de chacun et renversement des rôles du danseur et du spectateur sont au programme. Cet atelier peut être présenté en parallèle avec le spectacle Ctrl:N ou séparément.

In this workshop, participants are invited to take a more intimate part in the creation of Ctrl: N. This workshop can be presented in parallel with the Ctrl: N show or separately.
