COMMUNITY DANCE CONNECTORS
COMMUNITY DANCE CONNECTORS
Dance West Network provides a small budget, training and planning assistance to support Community Dance Connectors (local “dance champions”) and realize their community engaged dance projects. The Community Dance Connectors are offered opportunities to brainstorm together, share ideas and resources.
In addition, Dance West Network started the Ancillary CDC group in 2023-24 to offer opportunities to meet and build relationships with other CDCs and presenters through:
- online meetings with the Dance West Network CDCs via annual check-ins and season wrap-ups
- invitations to participate in some CDC trainings and online workshops offered by Dance West Network.
- opportunities to meet online with the Manager of Community Engagement and CDCs up to 3x/year to discuss ideas for dance related activities in their communities, receive feedback and input on possible next steps.
