Pas de Paillette Sans Yeux
Sparkling and omnipresent, sequins offer here the opportunity to celebrate the plurality of dances. Waacking, jive, samba, Latin and contemporary dances combine with a variety of brilliant decors that delimit the space. The dancers from different backgrounds evolve through energetic, dynamic and rhythmic choreography. Invited to wear their favorite shiny clothes, spectators contribute their presence to the performance by strolling through this colorful and festive environment. Let yourself be enchanted by this sparkling moment!
Marie-Denise Bettez / Propulse Danse
Driven by the desire to create art that has a reason for being, Marie-Denise developed her company and devoted herself to several social art projects. Her recent creation, Lucioles, focuses on the resilience of seniors in CHSLDs, where she worked as an attendant during the pandemic. At the same time, Marie-Denise also teaches in her studios, a practice that keeps her connected to the authenticity of people from every ages. Having experienced heavy pressure associated with body standards in her own journey, Marie-Denise is keen to deconstruct the invisible norms of the environment and to promote difference in all its aspects. Speaking of the body as an intimate spaceship, she hopes to transmit tools of confidence and esteem for the new generation of dancers. Today, Marie-Denise is grateful for the multiple roles she takes on in dance. An ambitious and determined artist, her intuition and love of rhythm guide her in her objectives of transmitting, creating bridges and perpetuating her artistic relationships.

Community Engagement
Since we wanna get the people together around the famous glitters, we strongly suggest the public to come with their most beautiful sparkly clothing. However, it is not an obligation at all.
We can definitely teach some parts of the dance creation. Some sections are made to be accessible. This way, the public can come in the piece in certains times. The opportunity of teaching the public before can help them understand the structure and how we worked in the creative process.
