Voices in my Body

Presenting life experiences of four characters, we explore the different parts that live in us: the part that is overwhelmed with a to-do list, the part that is jealous of what others have, the deeply loving part…passionate, tender and funny, Voices in My Body creates a unique window on the theatre of our inner life. Voices In My Body integrates dance and theatre, and combines live performance with linked audience headphones/“silent disco” technology in an outdoor setting. The headsets allow the audience to experience either French and English versions.

Murmur Arts Collective

Murmur is a growing collective of multi-disciplinary artists from around Vancouver Island, BC. We support innovative art projects in smaller cities and communities, working with multi-lingual and intercultural approaches. We aim to connect artists through co-creation projects, workshops, and open floor events.

Community Engagement

If you are looking to spread your learning wings, join Myriam in this movement improvisation workshop, based on Playback Theatre and Action Theatre. Participants will have the opportunity to share about their own life experiences and then experience the essence of that sharing is reflected back to them through movement, dance and music.
Participants do not require a background in dance or theatre to enjoy this taster workshop. Myriam will gently lead folks through a body and voice improvisation exploration, along with short forms of Playback Theatre.
Please Bring:
comfortable clothes for movement
water bottle
a journal
Participants will hopefully leave fuelled with a new creative energy, as well as an understanding of embodied empathy. If folks are moved by this experience, we look forward to more offerings in the spring.
