Depuis 15 ans, Fleuve | Espace danse a su développer une spécificité chorégraphique en danse contemporaine in situ, se positionnant comme un chef de file dans ce créneau. En 2018, Chantal Caron, directrice artistique de la compagnie, a été nommée membre de l'Ordre du Canada « pour ses créations artistiques mettant en valeur le patrimoine naturel et sa contribution au développement de la relève en danse ». L'engagement de Chantal Caron envers l'environnement et la communauté de sa région, jumelé à sa capacité de promouvoir et de défendre le patrimoine naturel, s'intègre parfaitement à sa signature artistique. Son travail de sensibilisation aux enjeux et à la beauté de la nature lui a d'ailleurs valu le titre d'ambassadrice du fleuve Saint-Laurent pour la Fondation David Suzuki.

For 15 years, Fleuve | Espace danse has developed a choreographic specificity in contemporary dance in situ, positioning itself as a leader in this niche. In 2018, Chantal Caron, artistic director of the company, was named a Member of the Order of Canada "for her artistic creations highlighting the natural heritage and her contribution to the development of the next generation in dance". Chantal Caron's commitment to the environment and the community of her region, coupled with her ability to promote and defend the natural heritage, fits perfectly with her artistic signature. Her work to raise awareness of the issues and the beauty of nature has earned her the title of St. Lawrence River Ambassador for the David Suzuki Foundation.
