Borrowed Time

A 50 year range of ages joins us in this exploration of strength and vulnerability. How do our relationships across generations allow us to give in, grow and rebuild? We explore the shifting teeter-tottering weight of care from one to another as time passes. Our family constellations transform over time as we dive into our joys, frustrations, grief, and love. Lesley is dedicating this work to her mother, who inspired her art and advocacy for elders in care.

Quote from Gillian Jones at Dance Victoria

"Our Dance Days feature presentation of 'Borrowed Time' was beautiful, relatable, and moving thanks to the amazing choreographic work of Lesley Telford, Artistic Director at Inverso Productions.

In 'Borrowed Time', a group of 7 courageous local community dancers joined the core cast to perform a work about the intergenerational bonds we share that both elevate, support, and at times entangle us. The result was an intimate performance full of care, emotion, and strength. Thank you!”

The residency will culminate in a performance of Borrowed Time, followed by a post-show talk back.
