Before Dawn

Athletic, energized, and deeply human "Before Dawn," our new creation premiered at the VIDF June 2021, suggests that we do everything before it is too late, like loving, forgiving, and dreaming, especially in the chaos humanity is experiencing now with the Pandemic! The Piece features the dancers navigating two striking onstage ramps. The structures became a huge challenge as the dancers' centres of gravity shifted. The Piece's central ramps have taken on a huge metaphorical significance in a year when the world has faced an uphill battle. The concept has been marinating for more than two years, and coincidently it served as a positive way to see the present moment while the world navigated through the COVID19 Pandemic.

The company will provide a master class with company members based on the repertoire of the company, movement research and movement development. The workshop would be beneficial to dancers that are already working in a professional level and or dancers that are transitioning to the professional level (ages from 16+) Our goal is to provide access to dance for those who would otherwise not experience the company performance and for those who want to learn the company's repertoire.
