Marissa Wong
Marissa Wong received her postgraduate studies through Alonzo King LINES Ballet and Ballet Austin. Her engagement with the Vancouver dance community has demonstrated her capability to produce, perform, and host works. She is currently a member of TWObigsteps Collective, which she founded in 2015. Since then, she has choreographed works that have been presented in San Francisco, Montreal, Vancouver, and Ottawa, including performance of the work Livespace at Dance in Vancouver (2019), Veils at TEDxSoma (2019), and the performance of Surrenderance; at Dance in Vancouver (2017). She has also worked alongside Heidi Quicke as Assistant Stage Manager, and used this knowledge to co-produce a two night performance with WAREHAUS Dance (SPLIT/BILL 2018), and work as the Project Manager for MascallDance’s BLOOM (2019). In 2020, she will continue to use these skill sets to premiere her self-choreographed solo, Departure, and host an evening of works through the collective.
