Palak Dhiman, a Kathak dance artist based in Vancouver, has undergone extensive training in both India and Canada since 1993, showcasing a rich performance history. Her notable stage contributions include performing with Manohar Performing Arts in Winnipeg, Upasana in Ottawa, and most recently, touring Canada with the Usha Gupta Dance Ensemble in 2022. Palak's debut dance film, "Kathaka: Storyteller," earned recognition and was featured in the National Arts Centre's "Capsule" project. Furthering her dance pursuits, she completed an MA in Sociology in 2013, exploring the impact of dance on identity. A dedicated Kathak educator, Palak has shared her knowledge in diverse settings including Winnipeg, Ottawa, Nepal, and Vancouver. Her presence is felt at cultural festivals across North America, India, and Nepal.
