Shannon Finnegan (she/her) has been involved in the performing arts off and on since the late 1980s. She performed Israeli folk dance with L’Chayim Israeli Dancers and sang Irish and English folk tunes in various groups. Her eclectic tastes continue although her role has shifted towards being a supporter, presenter and facilitator of the arts. Currently, she lives on the unceded Gidimt’en- Bear-Wolf clan territory, home of the Witsuwet’in Nation. Shannon has served on the board of the Bulkley Valley Concert Association in Smithers for a number of years and has worked with engaging and facilitating youth in their pursuit of theatrical achievement. Shannon is currently the Project Coordinator for the cohort of incredible dance artists who are involved in the Recentering Margins Creative Dance Residency in northwestern BC in Smithers.
