“FACE2FACE” uses choreographic language to show the intrinsic interconnectedness between humans. The audience will follow two dancers and their previously recorded selves as they explore themselves in each other and the shadows of who they were on the screens. The artists intend to bring seamless integration and momentary synchronization between video, live dancers, and music and – at the same time - create an illusion for the audience that oscillates around past and present.
Premiered in August 2023 with Mile Zero Dance as co-presenters.
The project features performances by dancers and multimedia artists from Edmonton: Kate Stashko and Krista Lin (dance) along with eryn temp3st (video artist).
