‘so close’ is a solo performance rooted in spectatorship. The work is a study of, and a journey through, the aesthetics of the nude female body as it shifts through various expressions of femininity. It questions whether perceptions of the female form can be separated from social constructs of beauty, and where freedom and empowerment can be found while being gazed at.
Length: 25 minutes
Venue: black box or proscenium
