Floor Monarchs is a Vancouver based female dance collective consisting of 4 women of color with roots that expand to different parts of Asia. Floor Monarchs is an experimental and street dance focused dance collective that was established in January 2024 in Vancouver BC, Canada. Most of the members of the collective identify as practitioners of many Street Dance styles. By teaming up to form this collective, Floor Monarchs symbolises the divine feminine energy that inspires and empowers confidence on the dance floor. Like the Monarch butterfly, this collective aspires to motivate its audience to reflect, grow, transform and renew.
