Prayers Through Strawberry Fields / Prières pour les fraises
In response to the detainment of migrant workers and other immigrants across the U.S., Prayers Through Strawberry Fields/Prières pour les fraises is an act of compassion and solidarity. It is also an experiment: Can our prayers and expressions of empathy move through soil or root systems and mycelial networks to reach those held in captivity across the border? Prayers Through Strawberry Fields reflects on the unseen threads that link us and asks whether love, grief, and solidarity can travel through the living earth like a quiet underground passage, to offer friendship and support to those held unjustly.

Community Engagement
A community-level workshop for all ages (children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult), inviting participants to connect with plants on an imaginative and energetic level, and to explore the movements that this connection inspires within their bodies. Writing and drawing materials will also be available for those who prefer to express their thoughts and emotions through words and art. The workshop will conclude with a closing circle, offering space for participants to share any lingering reflections, as the performance may evoke feelings of frustration, anxiety, or grief, among others. This gathering provides a supportive opportunity to process those emotions collectively. No previous dance, writing or drawing experience is required.
