In June 2021, a convergence of practices from various Nations formed to ignite the intergenerational conversation Huulthapi: Dancing Airwaves.

We are at a critical crossroads in our Indigenous cultures. An era of ancient knowledge is being threatened by the loss of language and a way of life. While the pandemic has been devastating, our ability to continue having these conversations together online can only strengthen us. Speaking from a diverse range of traditional, contemporary, professional and grassroots dance groups, this gathering of esteemed Indigenous dance leaders offers a wide intergenerational perspective into the many kinds of dance works being made locally and carried on traditionally.
